Free Radiotherapy Tattoo Removal

As we step into October, a month that resonates deeply with the pink hues of Breast Cancer Awareness, Elegant Clinic extends its heartfelt support to those navigating the challenging path of breast cancer. For many, breast cancer isn't confined to a specific month; it's a constant companion requiring strength, resilience, and unwavering community support.

Breast cancer touches lives intimately within our Elegant community. Many of our valued clients and their families have faced the daunting journey of breast cancer. Acknowledging the profound impact of this disease, our team has been reflecting on ways we can extend further support using the resources at our disposal.

A Pledge to Support:

With a sense of pride and a commitment to making a meaningful impact, Elegant Clinic introduces an ongoing service to support those who have undergone breast cancer radiotherapy. This initiative involves offering free radiotherapy tattoo removal at our Canford Cliffs clinic, not limited to Breast Cancer Awareness Month but as an ongoing commitment.

For those courageous individuals who have embarked on the challenging journey of breast cancer radiotherapy, small black or blue dots tattooed during treatment serve as markers for precision. While these marks symbolise strength and survival for some, we recognise that others may prefer not to carry a constant reminder.

Our State-of-the-Art Solution:

Elegant Clinic employs the cutting-edge Lynton Lumina Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system, a technology trusted by the NHS and private hospitals. The system utilises the gold standard Q-Switched laser, ensuring exceptional results in the removal of radiotherapy tattoos.

Our free radiotherapy tattoo removal service is provided at no charge. However, we do require approval from your Oncologist to ensure a seamless experience. The entire process is carried out by our skilled team, dedicated to providing support during what can be a challenging chapter in your life.

The Empowerment of Early Detection:

Breast cancer awareness goes beyond our clinic walls. We encourage everyone to take a proactive approach to their health. More than 50% of women say they don't know the early signs of the disease. To aid in self-awareness, here are some tips for breast self-examination:

1. Visible Changes: Look for visible changes in shape or size.

2. Skin Changes: Check for dimpling, puckering, or rash around the nipple.

3. Lumps or Bumps: Feel for any abnormal lumps, bumps, or irregularities.

4. Nipple Changes: Note any changes in the nipple such as rash, indrawing, or pulling in.

5. Discharge: Be aware of any bloody discharge from the nipple.

How to Perform a Breast Self-Examination:

1. Mirror Check: Sit comfortably in front of a mirror with your hands on your hips. Look for changes in contour, puckering, or dimpling

2. Nipple Check: Check for changes in the nipple, such as a rash, indrawing, or pulling in

3. Skin Check: Examine the entire breast for any skin changes

4. Finger Walk: Using the fingers of one hand, walk around the breast, feeling for lumps or irregularities.

5. Quarters Check: Divide the breast into four quarters and examine each section.

6. Tail Check: Walk your fingers up to the tail of the breast in the armpit.

7. Areola Check: Walk your fingers back to the areola around the nipple.

For those who notice anything unusual during self-examination, it's crucial to see a doctor or nurse as soon as possible. Early diagnosis significantly improves the chances of successful treatment.

A Humble Pledge:

To those facing the challenges of breast cancer, your courage is a beacon of strength for us all. It is an honour and a privilege for Elegant Clinic to contribute to your journey.
