My journey into aesthetics began in 2015, when I had been working in community pharmacy for more than 6 years and was looking for something more fulfilling. I’d always been interested in make-up and beauty, experimenting with looks for myself and others, but found myself drawn to the world of aesthetics, where I could find longer-term solutions for people to look their best.
I still loved the consultation element of pharmacy, enjoying the patient interaction that comes with medication reviews, so I knew I could offer this same personalised treatment for aesthetics.
I have spent the last 4 years training in world-class clinics around the UK to keep up to date on the latest and most promising treatments available. In addition to becoming an expert in my field, I also gained my Independent Prescribing qualification, to allow me to provide a much more rounded and complete service to my clients as I can prescribe medications to complement their treatment. During my training experience, I had also spent time working in an A&E department where I learnt invaluable skills regarding complications and infections. It also gave me the opportunity to practice a different set of consultation skills, which has helped me immensely when it comes to understanding what end result my patients would like to see from a treatment.
My own clinic is based in my hometown of Bournemouth, at the Dune Hair & Beauty in Canford Cliffs. I also have a home clinic in Westbourne. A conscientious practitioner, I want to understand your aims and expectations and together we will come to a joint treatment plan. This is proven to give a much more natural and longer-lasting result than a “one size fits all” approach to Botox and fillers. I only use the most advanced techniques and products in my consultations including the well-established Botox and Juvederm ranges.
Charity is very close my heart and I spend a lot of time working with the FUCcharity and brand, which supports the Wessex Cancer Trust. I want everyone to feel their best, so I take referrals from those affected by chemotherapy or radiotherapy and provide treatment at a largely discounted rate. I hope that this small thing could give them the confidence to carry on the fight and make them feel a bit more like themselves again.
