After a Botulinum Toxin treatment, you may have some swelling, redness and bruising which will subside within the next few hours. Bruising may take a few days, especially if extensive. Arnica tablets/gel or vitamin k oxide cream can be used. Results emerge gradually during 3- 14 days.
Azzalure contains a substance called botulinumtoxina which causes muscles to relax. wrinkles are formed by excessive contraction of the facial muscles. injection of small quantities of botulinum a toxin blocks the nerve impulse to the muscle, causing it to relax and in turn smooth the overlying skin to reduce wrinkles.
Prior to treatment, make-up will be removed and the skin disinfected. You may experience some discomfort from the needle, but your practitioner may choose to manage this pain with a local anaesthetic cream.
AZZALURE® is injected just under the skin into the muscle with a small needle.
AZZALURE normally takes an average of 2-3 days2 to start working however improvements can be seen as early as 24 hours after treatment.4 The speed of onset may vary between individuals.
The results from treatment can last for up to 5 months.4
If you get any side effects, talk to your practitioner. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the package leaflet.
Adverse reactions tend to be mild to moderate in severity, temporary, reversible and occur in the first week after treatment. Other potential side effects are listed in the AZZALURE® Patient Information Leaflet found inside the packaging. Please ask your practitioner if you have not been given this.1
